How it works
Give a night, get a night.
Travel with Credits
Earn 1 credit each night you host a member while you’re away. Spend credits to book available homes at a later time.
All homes are treated equally. 1 credit = 1 night
Swap homes 1 for 1
Match with another member and exchange homes 1-for-1 at the same time.
No credits required since they “cancel out”
New members start with 5 credits
New members start with 5 credits so you can start booking travel before you host.
(You can also invite your friends and receive 2 credits for every verified referral!)

Guest guidelines
Kindred is for real homes and real people.
The BFGH Test
Don’t treat the home like it were your own. Treat it like your Best Friend’s Grandma’s home. Text when you check in, take care to follow house rules, and be respectful to neighbors.
Guests & Pets
Any overnight guests must be approved ahead of time. This also applies to pets and service animals, even the extremely cute ones.
Gratitude
Kindred is fueled by generosity. It is typical to leave a note or small token or gift to show appreciation to your host for graciously opening their home to you.
Host Experience
1.
Review each guest’s profile and optionally schedule a video chat before approving a request.
2.
We’ll help you set up your home guide, access instructions, and cleaning preferences.
3.
We’ll handle the cleaning and logistics. Your home will be professionally cleaned before your guest arrives.
4.
We’ll set up a group chat with Kindred, you, and your guest so everyone stays connected throughout the trip.
5.
Once the guest has checked out, professional cleaners will return to ensure the home is freshly cleaned for your arrival.

Leave out clean, well-cared-for linens and essentials like shampoo, soap, and paper towels for your guests.

Our concierge team can help guide you in setting up access for your home.
Privacy
Add a sticky note for an easy way to indicate any off-limit areas or spaces in your home.
