Kindred Circles

Kindred Circles expand Kindred’s overarching mission — making travel more accessible, connected, and richer — by connecting you with your Kindred spirits around the world.

Kindred Circles make it possible to travel like you have friends in every city — linking people all over the world with shared identities, interests, or passions. Circles don’t replace the global community you know — they’re optional sub-communities you can join to add a layer of personal curation and connection.

Members can discover homes from other Circle members more easily, choose to host exclusively within the Circle, and connect through the in-app community to share travel advice, meet fellow travelers, and build meaningful connections along the way.

Kindred offers Circles for a growing number of communities. Each one adds a layer of trust and a place to connect with members who share something in common.

• Families Circle — For families with kids under 18. Swap into family-ready homes with multiple rooms, kitchens and blackout blinds, so there’s no need to pack the noise machine, toys or Pack ’n Play. Join the Families Circle
• Women Travelers Circle — For women and non-binary members who want an extra layer of trust and connection while traveling. Discover homes from other Circle members, choose to host only within the Circle and connect through community features. Join the Women Travelers Circle
• Queer Travelers Circle — For members who identify as LGBTQ+. Travel and host with confidence alongside fellow Circle members, get destination tips from LGBTQ+ locals and travelers, and connect with a welcoming global network. Join the Queer Travelers Circle
• Google Circle — For current and former Googlers, where a shared workplace network adds trust and accountability. Join the Google Circle
• Meta Circle — For Meta employees, built on the same shared-network trust. Join the Meta Circle

• Families Circle — Open to families with kids under 18.
• Women Travelers Circle — Open to women and non-binary individuals who are the primary account holder on a Kindred membership. Members who live with partners are welcome to join, provided they are the primary account holder. When traveling to homes available only to the Women Travelers Circle, you must be traveling solo or with other women.
• Queer Travelers Circle — Open to members who identify as LGBTQ+.
• Google and Meta Circles — Open to current and former employees of that company.

Already a Kindred member? On the sign-up page, click “Already a Kindred member? Log in” and sign in with the email address on your existing Kindred account.

Want to join another Circle? In the app, open the Community tab and tap “Join a Circle” to browse and join any other Circles you’re eligible for. You don’t need to leave your current Circle first, and each Circle you join appears in your Community tab with its own discussions.

Yes! You can now be part of multiple Circles at the same time. Head to the Community tab and tap "Join a Circle" to browse and join any additional Circles you're eligible for — no need to leave your current one(s) first. Each Circle you join will show up in your Community tab, with its own dedicated discussions.

Our same referral incentive, 2 credits per verified referral, is still applicable for new Kindred members you invite to a Circle. Referring an existing member to the Circle will not earn you any credits.

Joining a Circle means that you can make your home available to:

• all Kindred members, or
• only members of that Circle

If you choose the Circle-only setting, only verified Circle members will see your home availability, be able to message you, or request a stay.

You will be able to choose who to make your home available to when adding availability, and you can update this setting any time in your Host tab.

No. Joining a Circle doesn't limit where you can travel. You'll still be able to book any eligible home on Kindred, while homes from your Circle will be prioritized in your search results to help you discover them more easily.

Not at all. Joining a Circle doesn't limit where you can travel. You'll still be able to book from any of the 400,000+ homes on Kindred. Homes available exclusively to Circle members will be prioritized in your search results and clearly marked with ‘Exclusive to [circle name]’ to help you discover them more easily.

Once you've joined and verified your Circle membership, to see homes that are part of your Circle, you can filter for them in your search filters. Or you can go to the Community tab and browse members from there.

The Community tab is your home for Circles—see the ones you’re already part of, and discover new Circles to join. It gives members of that Circle a dedicated space to chat, share travel recommendations, ask questions, coordinate trips, and connect with other members—all directly within the Kindred app.

There are a couple of ways to browse homes from other Circle members:

• From the Explore tab: Use filters to browse homes from the Circles you’re interested in.
• From the Community tab: Select the Circle you’d like to explore, then choose Browse Homes to see homes from other members.

For most Circles, your membership will appear as a badge on your profile and be visible to all other Kindred members.

For the Queer Travelers Circle, you can choose during onboarding or within your Circle settings whether you’d like your membership to be visible to other members outside the Circle, or just restricted to others in the Circle.
