The Kindred extension for Chrome shows you Kindred homes while you plan a trip anywhere on the web. When you search for a destination and dates on Google or a supported travel site, it shows which member homes are open for those dates, right on the page. It works in Chrome on desktop and laptop computers, not on phones or tablets.
How to get started
- Add Kindred from the Chrome Web Store.
- Pin the extension to your Chrome toolbar.
- Sign in with the email you use for Kindred. We'll send you a one-time code, just like in the app.
How it works
Search the way you already do. When you look up a stay, a small Kindred card appears with the homes available to you. Click it to open the side panel and browse in full, or dismiss it and keep going. Tap a home to open it on Kindred, already signed in.
Signed in, you'll see homes open for your exact dates, including swaps. If you're not signed in, you'll still see which homes are open that month. Exact dates, swaps and host details need a Kindred account.
Which sites it works on
The extension works on Google Travel and the major booking sites, including Airbnb, Vrbo, Booking.com and Expedia. We add new sites regularly, and the side panel always shows the current list. You choose where it runs: turn each site on or off any time from the side panel.
Your privacy
The extension only reads the destination, dates and number of guests from searches on sites you've turned on, and only to find available Kindred homes. It doesn't track your browsing or see anything on sites you haven't turned on.
